I was fortunate enough to be invited along with other Golf Tour Operators to the prestigious PGA Catalunya Resort recently – which is home to The Stadium Course (ranked No:1 in Spain by Top 100 Golf Courses. They are launching their brand new Caddy Rooms Hotel on 1st April 2018.

I had played the stunning Stadium Course before (one of my favourites); which has a number of large lakes on the course which are used to form semi-island greens. This time I also played the Tour Course and being a ‘second course’ I wasn’t really sure what to expect – however I was hugely impressed with the quality. It has pine tree-lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers and the greens were immaculate (especially for February) and lightning fast.
The new 3* Caddy Rooms hotel has been designed especially for golfers – stripping back anything that is not needed – leaving plenty of space for your golf clubs. Technology is at the centre of the Caddy Rooms experience – allowing guests to check in on their phone by downloading the app (or on iPads situated in the bar) and then using their phone as their room key.

Ideally located just 10-minutes from the historic town of Girona & Girona Airport – there is an Italian restaurant on-site and drinks can be enjoyed on the outdoor terrace.

The resort still has the 5* Camiral Hotel on-site where you can enjoy their restaurant also. This hotel has always been at the higher end of the price scale but the 3* Caddy Rooms will make this fantastic resort more affordable for many.
