The Golf Courses - Vila Gale Cascais Golf Break

Belas Clube de Campo golf course is a feast for the eyes providing views of the Carregueira Mountains and nautral valley formations below. This championship golf course has a great variety of holes to test many aspects of your game and provide an exciting round of golf. An 18 hole, par 72 parkland course designed by Rocky Roquemore in 1998 that measures 6,857 yards from the white tees. With fairways and greens set amongst deep valleys to provide undulation, obstacles and fantastic views.

Penha Longa Atlantic is a championship standard golf course that is one of the best in the Lisbon area. Penha Longa Atlantic has hosted the Estoril Open and the Portuguese Open three times. There are 27 holes of golf at the Penha Longa resort, the championship 18 hole course and a 9 hole course that can be combined with either the front nine or the back nine of the championship course to make a new 18 holes of golf. An 18 hole, par 72 parkland course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr in 1993 that measures 6,481 yards from the white tees.

Lisbon Sports Club is one of the oldest golf courses in Portugal, though it was originally a 9 hole course that was expanded in to an 18 hole course in 1992. There has been no properties built around the resort to give players a truly authentic feel when playing the course. An 18 hole, par 69 parkland course designed by Hawtree & Sons that only measures 5,806 yards from the white tees. Though this is a relatively short course it is very well designed to make full use of the contours of the land to provide natural obstacles to test your abilities. The fairways can be narrow and tree lined to promote accuracy over power.

Estoril is one of the oldest golf courses in the area having originally opened as a 9 hole course in 1929. The second set of 9 holes were opened in 1945 and designed by Mackenzie Ross to create the 18 hole par 69 course and what was at the time one of the most prominent clubs in Portugal. Another 9 holes were then added eleven years later as a compliment to the championship course, providing the club with 27 holes of golf. The club has gone on to host the Portuguese Open 20 times and the Amateur Championships 63 times. Estoril is a relatively short course at only 5,675 yards from the white tees, though you will need good tactics and accuracy to navigate through the undulating landscape and tight fairways lined by the eucalyptus, mimosa and pine trees. There are some great views out towards the Atlantic ocean during the round.

Quinta da Marinha is a Robert Trent Jones Senior design that opened for play in 1984. The course features elevated tees & greens with stunning panoramic views from the Sintra mountains down to the Atlantic ocean. An 18 hole, par 71 parkland course that measures 6,420 yards from the white tees. A relatively flat terrain with bunkers, pine trees and water hazards waiting for any stray shots. The course has hosted numerous professional competitions; 2007 Challenge Tour Event, PGA Senior Championship in 2002 and the 1988 Ladies Masters.
