The Golf Courses - Oliva Nova Golf Break
Oliva Nova golf course is able to challenge every aspect of your game as it has a fantastic variety of holes for you to play. You will find short holes, long holes and even medium sized holes with some being a dog left and some being a dog leg right. There is a large of amount of lakes which highly contribute to the aesthetically pleasing nature of the course but are also waiting to eagerly catch any stray golf balls. There are up to fifteen holes which have water features to add to the challenge. An 18 hole par 72 parkland course designed by the great Seve Ballesteros which opened in 1995. The course measures an impressive 6,900 yards from the white tees and has been known to host European Tour Qualifying School.
El Bosque golf course is located close to the foot of a mountain and runs through a deep ravine which helps to shape and guide the course, using the flow of nature around it to provide changes in elevation throughout the holes. The change is elevation does provide for some great scenery but try not to be too distracted as there are several water features and a few bunkers to contend with during the round. This is an 18 hole par 72 parklandcourse designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior that measures 6,834 yards from the back tees. Surrounded by pine trees, El Bosque will test all aspects of your game, a great design that will be preferred by the tactical golfer.
Font Del Llop golf course runs through a valley surrounded by hills on all sides and has a small river flowing through the course which connects each of its five lakes. The nature of the surroundings often provides sweeping views across the golf course. You will find a good technical challenge here as there are many obstacles across the course with bunkers and water features to be found throughout. An 18 hole par 72 parkland course which measures 6,904 yards from the back tees. This design from Blake Stirling and Marco Martin is one of the best courses to be found on the Costa Blanca.
La Sella golf course has 27 holes to be played consisting of three loops of 9. The "Llebeig" is a predominantly south facing track that is flanked by pine trees with views of the Montgó mountain. The "Gregal" has less undulations to the terrain but more water hazards to contend with. The "Mestral" faces to the north with a greater change in elevation that can provide views down to the sea, the fairways and green feel more generous here. This course borders the Montgó Nature Park to provide plenty of nature, pine trees and stunning views. The original course was designed Jose Maria Olazabel as a par 72 parkland / woodland course which measured 6,878 yards from the back tees and opened for play in 1991. The course has since held many high profile tournaments.
